Center Manager ? Wu Yee Children's Services

Wu Yee Children?s Services is a non-profit family and children?s services agency founded in 1977. Our mission is to create opportunities for children to be healthy, for families to thrive, and for communities to be strong. The Head Start and Early Head Start program provide services to pregnant women and children from birth to five years old.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Ensure program compliance with codes of all state and local licensing agencies and grant requirements.
? Manage day-to-day operations of the site(s), ensuring that the center is fully staffed, that staff are properly trained, that staff follow program performance standards and Wu Yee policies
? Collaborate with management team to arrange and facilitate meetings with staff and provide for mandated trainings
? Facilitate case management meetings, consultations, and staff meetings
? Observe staff and provide suggestions for classroom management and education programming to meet the individual needs of all children
? Assure that quality services are delivered in a coordinated, integrated manner that is consistent with our program philosophy, policies and procedures
? Assure that all Program Performance Standards are met through the efforts of collaborative teams; establish and monitor systems that assure program quality
? Perform mid-year and annual performance evaluations utilizing agency forms designed for evaluations
? Arrange for services in all functional areas, utilizing internal and external resources to provide medical, social, mental health, educational, and special services as deemed appropriate
? Monitor, evaluate and ensure training of classroom staff and volunteers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
? A valid Child Development Site Supervisor?s Permit
? B.A. in Early Childhood Education or relevant field; Master?s Degree in Early Childhood Education desired
? Minimum three years successful supervisory experience in an early childhood program
? Bilingual in Chinese/English or Spanish/English preferred
? Ability to plan and implement individualized curriculum
? Experience working with culturally diverse staff and families
? Demonstrated competence in training design, planning, delivery, and evaluation
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
? Experience coaching and mentoring early childhood teaching staff
? Able to bend and lift up to 50 pounds

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
Salary depending on experience plus 18 PTO days, full cafeteria plan for health, dental and numerous other benefits
